New grant to support innovative women in business

A new grant program for innovative women aims to address the difficulty women have in accessing capital to start and scale their business.

The Women in Business Fearless Innovators Grant program is a $110,000 initiative funded by the South Australian Government in partnership with Women in Innovation (WINN) and the Fearless Females Network (FFN).

The program aims to support innovative South Australian women business founders to access the capital they need to grow their business into national and global enterprises.

Successful applicants will be announced at the annual WINN Awards in November.

Paula Turbill, President of Women in Innovation said: “This unique funding initiative aims to address the gender gap in startup funding by providing tailored support and capital to female founders in South Australia.

“Aligning this program with the Women in Innovation Awards is a great way to continue supporting South Australia’s female-founded start-ups further along their journey and achieve even more success.”

Kelly Baker Jamieson from the Fearless Females Network said: “The Fearless Innovator Grants will help female founded businesses early in their journey to support their success.

“To move the female funding results in a positive direction, this program is a step forward to provide much needed capital, confidence and connections.”

Applications will open later this year.
